Pink !




The trailer of the movie was pretty interesting and it seemed like a "hatke" movie , as most of the movies associated with Shoojit Sircar are (Yahaan, Madras Cafe , Piku,  and Vicky Donor). Although it's directed by debutant Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Shoojit Sirkar contributes to the story. Plus it has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. Are these reasons enough good enough or are there way better reasons to watch this one ? Read on to find out.


To answer the above question in short: You MUST watch it. For the rest read on.

For the uninitiated let's start with the plot. Three girls (played by Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang) meet three boys meet at a rock concert after which they end up in a room where one of the boys (played by Angad Bedi) tries to Taapsee. Taapsee in self defense hits Angad and he gets seriously injured. Angad being a close acquaintance of influential politician files a case against her when these girls approach the police. What follows is an intense courtroom drama where Amitabh Bachchan and Piyush Mishra try to defend their clients.

First and foremost it's a no nonsense film. There is no time wasted in building the plot. There is no side track. There is no romantic angle. There is no flashback scene, where the lead actors song and dance around. There are no songs which randomly pop-in to annoy you. There is no filler comedian who would make the courtroom proceedings funny. Every scene, every frame and every word uttered by the character has relevance to the movie.  And in Mr Bachchan's case even his silence is relevant (more on that later). The movie dives into the plot right from the start. I like the way the narrative moves forward without actual showing what happened , the director builds up the sequence of events as we move forward. He does show what happened and for that you need to sit through the end credits of the movie. Another reason to wait till the end is this poem narrated by Amitabh Bachchan.


Amitabh Bachchan is the star of the film. He gets better with every movie and never fails to surprise you. In the movie Piku, his face has so many expressions in every frame and here he says so much with his blank look throughout. No wonder he is the undoubted Shahenshah!  His courtroom antics are stellar. The scene where he cross questions a lady police officer is superb., reminds me of the movie Aitraaz where Paresh Rawal questions Akshay Kumar. But the difference is that Paresh Rawal plays a chirpy lawyer while Amitabh's character has this calmness about him. He gets the best dialogues of the movie and does full justice to them. The best one being , " Humare yaha ghari ki sui ladki ka character decide karti hai" ( The hands of the clock decide the character of a girl in India). The rest of the cast is good as well. The only one thing I wished was different was Piyush Mishra's casting. I am huge fan of his narration in Gangs of Wasseypur but he is becoming way too monotonous with his diction in the recent movies.

Through dialogues the director puts forth the condition of girls and women in India, the way the society judges them, stereotypes them. The title is also probably a reference to the same stereotyping. Also he talks about how the North-east Indian community is discriminated in most parts of the country. I liked one particular scene, where during the courtroom proceedings Piyush Mishra makes Tapsee uncomfortable about something she said and when she hesitates to talk, her father is seen leaving his seat.

The movie is a brave attempt by the director, where he puts forth his point unadulterated. Otherwise Indian movie makers have to often sugar coat the message they want to convey with stars, songs and all kind of melodrama. They have to put in all the masala to make the film "commercially viable" they say. I believe if a movie has good and meaningful content, that would itself make it commercially viable. And that's what Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury does with Pink! Kudos to the director and his team!

In short this is A MUST watch film!

Good Will Hunting!!


I know this is an old movie and most of you must have already seen this. But then this is for people who haven't watched it yet. I had heard about this one some time ago and actually forgotten until one of my friends suggested this one. And what better time to watch this than a lazy day when the Mumbai rains make it impossible for you to get out of your room.

The movie is about a young self made genius Will Hunting played by Matt Damon working as a janitor in the MIT , a professor who finds this genius and wants to shape his life as HE wants to and the therapist Dr. Sean Maguire, played by Robbin Williams who helps him to decide what he (as in Will himself) wants to do.

The conversations between Will and his therapist are excellent and are the essence of the movie. Along with that there are many other sub plots , like how in spite of being a genius in other aspects Will is poor with inter-personal relationships, including his love interest; the old time rivalry between Dr Sean and the mathematics professor; how the professor wants the kid to be more like him rather than allowing him to chase what he actually wants to do with his life; his relations with his friends. My personal favorite quote from the movie is when Will's best friend is trying to convince him to utilize his talent instead of wasting it doing labor jobs:

"Alright. No. No no. Fuck you. You don't owe it to yourself. You owe it to me. 'Cause tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be fifty and I'll still be doing this shit. And that's all right, that's fine. I mean, you're sittin' on a winning lottery ticket and you're too much of a pussy to cash it in. And that's bullshit `cause I'd do anything to fuckin' have what you got! So would any of these fuckin' guys. It'd be an insult to us if you're still here in twenty years. Hanging around here is a fuckin' waste of your time. Every day I come by to pick you up. And we go out we have a few drinks, and a few laughs and it's great. But you know what the best part of my day is? It's for about ten seconds from when I pull up to the curb to when I get to your door. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll knock on the door and you won't be there. No goodbye, no see you later, no nothing. Just left. I don't know much, but I know that."

Dil Dhadakne Do..


I know this comes in a bit late. Most of you must have already watched this one or planned to skip it. The former can let me know if you agree and the latter can decide whether they can catch this on a DVD once it arrives.

 I did not get a lot of positive reviews for this one ( that being one of the prime reason for delaying watching it). The main complaint being the length of the movie. For a movie running for almost 3hrs the pace was not fast enough to keep me glued to my seat (and away from the fast forward  button )

The other thing which I didn't like was the narration by their family dog (Aamir Khan voiceover). Its a novel concept and I did like it in the beginning but as the movie progressed it seemed irritating. The dog stating the obvious at times and narrating incidents which are being shown right there. Like an audio subtitle. There is a scene where the dog just looks towards,  Ranbir and Anushka as they meet the first time. That's hilarious. But then he goes on to explain how they are now thinking about each other etc etc. Also Zoya narrates human emotions and how we react to incidents in life from his perspective. Remember school days when we used to watch Wild safari on Discovery (dubbed in the funniest hindi accent. " Ab nar khana dhoondhne ke liye jungle mein jata hai aur mada apne bachon ko sambhalti hai"). Pluto gives the same feeling. The movie is like a human documentary for the dog world.

But keeping those two things aside, the movie is really nice and is definitely a one time watch. The one liners are hilarious. The stereotype characters chosen are quite believable, like the uncle who uses an extra "s" after every English word, Priyanka's mother in law who is a hypochondriac with n number of diseases. Each couple in the movie is different and has a different agenda, But the solution for all their problems is being vocal about one's thought. This is the central theme of the story and is summed up really well by Zoya ( via Pluto, the dog) at the end of the movie. Of course the actual end of the movie is vague. It feels that they kept on making it until they realised its been more than 170min.

Anil Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are the stars of the movie. Rest all are supportive. Music is not that great.

All in all it's a good movie but flawed in its presentation.

Zoya did get her Luck by chance Doobara, but definitely not the third time ;) !

Tanu weds Manu Returns!


Tanu weds Manu was a refreshing with the right blend of emotion and comedy. So does the sequel live up to the expectation ?

First things first. The opening credits and the first scene where Tanu and Manu argue about their not-so-happy- married life are something you should not missed. What follows is a laugh riot courtsey some very very witty dialogues and superb acting by Deepak Dobriyal as Pappi. He is simply brilliant and some of his lines and the way he delivers them will make you LOL all over the floor . He single handedly manages to set the pace for the movie. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Chintu the over-enthusiastic lawyer is a welcome addition to the cast. Kangana Ranaut by far is the best actress in India presently. You throw any role at her and she will end up doing it so naturally. She looks and fits into the Hariyanvi "Datto"  character so well. Not even once one remember the original Tanu while watching her. Full marks to her (and the make up team) for that!

But the real problem is the plot. To start off with the entire Mental hospital plot (although very entertaining) is not believable. There isnt enough emotional connect between Manu - Datto to get together in the first place and Manu - Tanu to come back together once again. The end is predictable and something that most of us would not relate to. For eg. Queen had the perfect ending when she refuses to go back to him. Here Manu's decision to go back to Tanu seems illogical and irrational and lacks the emotional connect needed to do so. The lack of "Bappi" and his jokes and the lack of a good plot hurts the second half which after a point of time is super drag. You just don't feel for any of the character.

Songs are good, my favorite being the "Swagger" song.


All in all the supporting actors do their job to make us laugh but the lack of a good plot fails to emote.

Bombay Velvet!


I know this review comes quite late. There is reason (like there is one for all the stupid things in life). I failed to find company all this time for this movie. Convincing people to watch an Anurag Kashyap movie is odd. But isnt that surprising because he has a different set of fans (the majority belonging to the inverse set of the "bhai-i-love-you-whatever-acting-psuedoacting- you- do" set). But then this one had the big stars to attract the masses. In spite of that it couldn't. This is what bad publicity and poor understanding of his kind of cinema is.  I being an ardent fan of his work I wanted to watch this. And after hearing all the negativities I definitely had to watch it. Not when the DVD is out but while its still in the theater

Ok to start off, the movie is not good. Not good by Anurag Kashyap's standards (which are very high. Atleast for me he is the best director bollywood has at the moment). And please note that a bad movie by Anurag Kashyap is probably any day better than even the best one by some other directors like Ab-Basss and MAST-an (name changed).

Has he tried something completely different than his prior films ?  I doubt that. It has all the ingridients of a typical Anurag Kashyap movie. The plot (revenge :Gangs of Wasseypur , the lust for power and money :Gulaal , Ugly and the intertwining of multiple subplots and showing the best and the worst aspects of interpersonal relationships: All his movies) , the cinematography , the art of weaving songs into the plot in a way that you want more of them (Dev D , GOW. GOW infact boasted off 14 songs in the first part and 13 in the second). So whats different?

Let start with the goods. The real stars of the movie are the set design and the music. The sets are lavish, not only the one showing Bombay Velvet the theater, but even the Bombay of the 60s shown in the movie (Bombay not Mumbai :)). The music ! Amit Trivedi (Dev D , Udaan, Ishaqzaade and many more here) has done such an amazing job. It was the first time that I didn't like his songs when I heard the album. But then they seem so good when I saw them in the movie. Plus the built up and background Anurag has given to each of them is simply brilliant. Dhadaam Dhadaam is my personal favorite. Also the choice of " Fify - Jaata hai kaha hai deewane" is so apt for the situation. The remi of the same by Mike Mcleary is nice (He is the same guy who composed Khoya Khoya Chand and Dhak Dhak)

Anurag Kashyap has this knack of looking into the smallest of things. ( For eg In Ugly when he was wanted to show a bollywood struggler's dingy house, he had a can of whey proteins in one of the shelves. Rest of the house was a pity. Useless fanboy info). He has his strokes of brilliances in this one too. One special scene is the one where Karan Johar mocks Ranbirs English. I wont reveal the details, but its epic. Simply epic. The climax  scene where Ranbir goes on a killing spree is well shot but it seems borrowed. The background score reminds you of Tarantino and the scene is way similar to Faizal ka badla from GOW-2. There are other "inspirational"scenes as well but he has given due credits these at the start of the movie.

Ranbir plays his character well. But it is the side characters that impress, for eg Satyadeep Mishra as his friend Chimman, Kay Kay Menon as the honest cop and Manish Chaudhari as the parsi reporter. Also Remo Fernandez, Raveena Tandon Siddhartha Basu and Amit Trivedi (How many of you noticed him in the club?) have special appearances

What doesnt work? I guess the major weakness is the plot. In an attempt to be true to the facts , the movie's plot seems not that great.  The story about the development of the metropolitan MUMBAI and about the greedy janta who made that happen. The second thing that I feel that went horribly wrong is casting Karan Johar. He is not able to generate that kind of aura that was expected from him. The perfect example was was the wicked Ramadhir Singh in GOW (played by Tigmanshu Dhulia, who has also directed the movie Paan Singh Tomar. Again useless piece of information). You actually felt nice when Faizal takes his badla. Karan Johar and his lack of emotions is a major setback in most of the scenes. You simply don't feel the tension between him and Ranbir. Also the climax doesn't reach its pinnacle as it does in GOW. Its rather an anticlimax  The other bad choice he made was Anushka Sharma. Not because she cant act, but because of the ducky face. He has these close ups of her face while she performs for Bombay Velvet and trust me that doesn't make a good picture. It is so bad that you feel good when Raveena recites the same songs in her absence. Plus the movie is slow. Kashyap takes his own time to come to the theme of the movie and it seems a drag. Its not that first time that he is making a long movie. GOW was so long a movie that he had to make two parts out of it, and there wasnt even a single dull moment in it.

To sum it I would say that is a bad movie by Anurag Kashyap's standards but its definitely a good film. Plus you need to watch it in the theater to experience the grandeur of its stars: the sets and the music.

P.S. This has turned out to be quite a long post and it may seem like a Anurag- Kashyap - fanclub -page rather than a movie review. But then thats the way it is. I am a huge fan of his work for he is one of the few film makers who respects the audiences intelligence. For the uninitiated ,  Dev D , Gulaal , Gangs of Wasseypur , Black Friday are simply superb. Yes there is lot of violence in these, but thats not the best part. His way of presenting the minute details is what makes him stand apart. For eg watch this scene from GOW if you haven't watched it yet. Nawazuddin's acting being a cherry on top of the cake.

Gabbar is Back (Why?)


I was duped into watching this movie. Luckily I had the option of forwarding. And I had to use it quite diligently. I dont have much to say about this movie. I only have a few questions.

From where is he back- Please send him back to that hideous place.

Who has got him back - I want to sue that person for mental harassment. Krissh is the director. I guess only a superhero can manage can live through the torture of making such a movie.

Who has the courage to see him in the theaters - I guess the " Bhai" wala audience does.

And finally...

Why is Gabbar back - WHY WHY WHY!

Please send him back!

If possible please send Akshay Kumar , Shruti Hasan , Kareena Kappor (Yes even she stars in the movie. She perfectly compliments the stupidity going on in rest of the movie), the rest of the cast (full of random actors casted pathetically) and the entire team which made this disaster along with Gabbar.

P.S : Wait for thee DVD (you know where to find Gabbar now, but then its better that you avoid doing that). Watch it with your friends and have fun at how insanely low Bollywood can stoop.

P.P.S : Not only is the movie bad, the way they have projected doctors hurts even more. There definitely are such doctors who harass patient for money like anything but this was hyperbole even by their standards. Its important for movie makers to realize at what message are they sending to the society. Its high time that Bollywood achieves that maturity.

Piku!


There are very few movies which have the perfect ingredients for you to be drawn to the theatres. Piku is one such film. Shoojit Sarkar (aslo the director who gave us Madras Cafe) and Juhi Chaturvedi unite again after writing Vicky Donor. The tag line of " Motion se hi emotion" is self explanatory and tells us whats the movie is about. The trailers and the tag line are a tad misleading as even though you will see Amitabh ranting about his not-so-good bowel habbits through a major portion of the movie, there is much more to the movie. The movie in fact is  more about the latter half of the tag line i.e emotions rather than the former i.e. motion. The story is a simple one which by now you guys must have figured out. Amitabh is a crancky attention seeking hypochondriac bong dad who wants his daughter's life to revolve around him.  To such an extent that, at one point he even explains a guy Deepika meets how she isn't a virgin and he should not think of marrying her. Deepika is this frustrated daughter who inspite of being fed up of her dad and his irregular bowel habbits , tries to cater to all his needs; however eccentric they may be. Then comes in Irrfan Khan, owner of a cab hiring company who himself is frustrated by his own mother and sister and is forced to drive this unusual "couple " all the way from Delhi to Kolkata.

Coming to performances , I loved all three :Irrfan , Amitabh and Deepika (in that order. And yes Irrfan >> Amitabh). Irrfan has this uncanny way of making you laugh in the simplest possible way. Amitabh Bachan as the bong Bhaskor is a treat to watch and is the quirky element makes us laugh with his paunch ,the bong accent , his idiosyncrancies (hiding the salt everyday) and at the same time the childlike innocence (best seen in the last seen when he comes back cycling all over Kolkata). Dee"Piku" has given probably her best performace. The de-galm look and the the way she portrays the character of the irritated but caring daughter is excellent. Not only the casting of the lead actors is great the supporting actors like Raghubir Yadav (Mungerilal anyone?) as the family doctor  and the thrice married bong aunt Moushumi Chatterjee are a delight to watch too! The music and the background score is also nice, Anupam Roy making a superb debut as a music director and singer. Not even once it seems intrusive and you aren't left wondering when, why and how did this song happen (Bhai fans take note!)

And last but never the least, the direction. Kudos to Shoojit Sarkar for blending all the elements in the perfect way. The way he tells this simple yet interesting story is so good. He repeats what he did with Vicky Donor, where he presented a taboo topic without even a hint of sleaze. This time around he selects a topic which not everyone would like to be vocal about and one that may disgust most of us. And trust me, no where in the movie does the poop-talk make you go "ewww". It always gets a smile. Full marks for him for that. One particular scene where they are about to start their journey and Irrfan Khan expects Deepika to sit besides him rather than the family servant is hilarious wihtout having a single dialogue. One expects in that in a Bollwood film there will be atleast one song/ scene where the lead couple is seen moving around hand in hand. But thats not always essential as the audience is intelligent enough to understand stuff in a subtle manner. He depicts the same in the last scene of the movie where he wants to show that Deepika- Irrfan get together. He simply shows a badminton game between them referring to a prior similar scene.

A director's excellence doesn't rest in painting a larger than life picture with lavish sets and random unrealistic situations (Bhai movies being a perfect example) but rather it lies in making the audience feel at home, giving them situations that they can believe can happen it their routine life.  For eg all Rajkumar Hirani movies. The scene where the sweeper gets irritated with Munna for walking over the floor he cleaned moments ago is something which we must have encountered sometime. Its this method of story telling that I personally like. My favorite being Hrishikesh Mukherjee. His movies had such simple topics and routine issues presented in the most believable way. Be it the couple rivalry in Abhimaan to the fear of death in Anand and others movies including  Awara , Mili, Bawarchi, Chupke Chupke , Gol Maal . Definitely. Shoojit Sarkar is no Hrishikesh Mukherjee, but he does come close.

All in all its a simple tale presented in a nice way!

P.S. I don't know what is it with all these talented bong artists ! Be it actors ,singers (Kishore Kumar GANGULY :) ) , musicians to directors- Khub bhalo dada log!!

Kingsman: The Secret Service

After a long hiatus after its release I did manage to catch this movie. Thanks to some friends in Korea who managed to get an HDrip (Click here). Its based on the age old "  Bond / secret spy organization vs a megalomaniac-doomed-to-destroy-the-world" format. The only difference being its way more chic with all the action. It manages to be "gentleman"ish and techie cool at the same time throughout, The action scenes are well executed and they leave you in awe of the film. These are the main reason you should watch this film. Check this scene out :

If you liked this one then , you SHOULD watch the rest of it. There is one specific scene shot at the church. And its simply mind blowing! Apart from the action, the background score and the dialogues add a lot to the film. All in all its a good movie  which not only great some great action , but also has a nice plot to compliment. Don't miss out this one!

Coffee Ani Barach Kahi



I usually do not reviews for Marathi movies because they are either publicized so well that everyone watches them irrespective of how disastrous they are (Read : Lai Bhari) or they aren't publized at all that they don't even end up getting a decent theater opening (Read: the probable fate of Court which releases 17th April). But then there are the rare third type which do manage to create some stir , like this one. " All that glitters is not gold" and the same applies to the movies too, " All movies with good trailers may not turn out into good movies". Coffee ani barach kahi is a perfect example of the same.



It does start off on an interesting note but then thats it. The movie goes haywire from there on. To add to the non existent story line , they have managed to cast the worst actors possible. All of them compete amongst themselves, but the lead Vaibhav Tatwawdi takes away the worst actor award hands down!. He fails to emote throughout. His happy ,sad and exited face are all the same. The dialogues are good in patches but they are diluted with n number random instrumental music / songs. The situations look unrealistic most of the times . Plus in an attempt to give a sensible ending, they have wasted Dilip Prabhavalkar and Suhas Joshi. And also when you give a specific title to your movie its epected that atleast some part of your movie revolves around it. The title infact should have been " Nahi Coffee. Ani kahich nahi".  The only saving grace was that the movie was shorter than 2hrs (I sincerely thank the makers from saving us the torture of a 3hr long movie of such caliber). To sum it all you can definitely give this one a miss. The only reason you may want to catch this one one the DVD/TV later is to see the worst acting/ direction in recent times.

P.S. This would probably be among the top three worst movies I have seen . EVER. Roy and Humshakals being the other two in the list.

PPS : The title is literal translation of CCD's tag line " A lot can happen over a coffee" .

NH10

It takes some great reviews/ story line to drive me to the theaters ,especially when our friends at PirateBay have reached new levels, delivering high quality rips within 3 days from the release. NH10 did manage to do that. But at the end of 1 hr 45 mins , I was utterly disappointed. When I say this , I know I will be contradicting almost all the reviewers, but that's the way it is. NH10 definitely has a nice concept. A brave attempt. But as Siddhu paji would say it, "You are remembered for hitting the target not for aiming at it". And that's what NH10 does. Anushka has definitely given a good performance, but that's by her standards which aren't that great either. However, a single good performance isn't good enough to make a good movie. What starts off as a hatke concept goes haywire by the time we reach the end of the movie. Honor Killings is something which hasn't been highlighted in Bollywood. But NH10 does no justice to that. Plus the movie seems unrealistic at so many places. And the rest of the cast is very passable. So irrespective of what the (paid ?) reviews say its better that you save this one for your lappies.

P.S. I have stopped liking Anushka after a certain job she got (Read:Quack Quack!). And from the performance point of view , she was way way better in Band Baja Baraat

Dum Laga Ke Haisha!


I have been eagerly waiting for the movie to be out. Although it hit the theaters quite sometime ago the guys at YashRaj did a great job to keep  the people from Piratebay at bay but then they did succeed in the end. Coming back to the movie, My initial impression was that its one of those competition oriented movie with a predictable ending, But then I was pleasantly surprised. The actual race is just the last 10min of the movie and is like the cherry on top of the cake.Its a simple story and the director doesn't try too hard to prove any point. Instead he has these sweet little moments in the movie which are so nice and believable at the same time, There is this song sequence where in the lead pair arent talking to each other but they play songs corresponding to their feelings. And the best one is in the end when both of them are about to the end the race and the way he carries her back all the way to their home. Ayushmann and surprise package Bhumi Pednekar (Jai Maharashtra!!) are cast perfectly and Sanjay Mishra and co are complimentary to the lead pair. The background music is nice with good use of the violin. And the best part of course is the music, For a change Anu Malik has composed a superb track reminiscent of the 90s music. Moh Moh Dhage is my personal favoirtie. And how can I forget this catchy number which is playing in the background as I type this post

Classmates


This is remake of  Malyalam movie by the same name, but unlike the other Southie remaeks (read: All Salman movies), this one is a pleasant surpirse. It starts a present-to-flashback mode and I felt this is another "Duniyadari" wannabe , especially with Ankush Chaudhary in the lead as the college dude. But the similarity ends there. The flashback depicting college life is fun. The sets perfectly suit the 90s and so does the college life. The movie shuttles from forward - flashback mode and the director has managed to do that perfectly. All this happens on the backdrop of a suspense plot which is indeed interesting and unpredictable. Ankush, Sonalee Kulkarni, Suyash Tilak and Sachit Patil are upto the mark, Sai Tamhakar being overshadowed by these. All in all its a nice start to the calendar year for Marathi cinema.

Humshakals ... !!







I know I should not even write a review about this one but I just wanted to see how low can Sajid Khan can stoop after Himmatwala ( The real Himmatwalas are the producers who had immense courage in the greatest director Bollywood has seen, after Shirish Kuner (Joker, that's his film's name , and probably thats what you should call him too!! ). 

They call these movies "No Brainers": i.e " Dimag ghar pe rakh ke ao"  for watching these movies. They should instead name these movies "Dimag walon ne ghar pe raho movies" cause truly the insane alone can sit through the torture for more than two hours . And whats even more surprising that there are that many insane people who actually go ahead and watch these movies and help them enter the so called "100 crore club" (Holiday being the latest entry. Check here the entire list.) We guys surely should not be complaining about the railway fare hike if we can fund such movies. Remember that you are encouraging them to create far more worse disasters in the future.


Coming back to Humshakals (although I would never ever want to go back to it ever again). Its full of stupid PPPPPJs and logic less events that will make you laugh on the IQ of the director and writer of the movie (Credits for both go to Sajid Khan) rather than the actual jokes. If you want a glimpse of his brilliance, here are a few "JOKES" (They dont even deserve to be called jokes. A first standard kid would crack better ones). They will truly make you COL (Cry out Loud)
1. Tamannaah Bhatia aka Shanaya: You are so witty
Saif Ali Khan aka Ashok: You are so Churchgate
  
2. Why is 6 scared of 7?
Because 7-8(ate)-9

3.Ritesh to Saif - Yeh tumhare bas ki baat nahi hai
Saif - Toh kya mere car ki baat hain
4. Riteish to Satish Shah- Hum aapke pair padte hain.
Satish Shah - Mere pair pe kuch likha hi nahi hain toh padoge kya.
6. Saif - I went to write my exam with a broken pencil but couldn't write. Ask me why? Because it was pointless.
And so on and so forth. Trust me guys this review of Humshakals by KRK is far more hilarious than the actual film 



The movie is full of illogical sequences. For example there is a scene where a patient gets revived from coma just by switching wires in the pulse/BP/ECG monitor. Saif speaks Hindi in his boardroom which is surrounded by firangs (Rapidex Hindi course , I guess). There is this MAD (Mind altering drug) which alters the CHROMOSOME structure (within seconds!!!) and makes you behave like a dog (This idea could have come only out of Sajid Khans non-existent brains)!! And he keeps on repeating himself in EVERY film. For eg There has to a huge mansion in England. There has to be a song where the entire cast dances in their night costumes while being chased around by a Papa/Papas assistant/Mental Hospital Warden.

Only Sajid Khan can get inspired by his own movies.

Sajid Khans calls it a comedy of errors , I would rather call it a movie full of errors of comedy. Thats precisely why he is trending on twitter :

My usual advise for a bad movie is not to go in a theaters and waste your hard earned money. For this one , please dont even waste your precious 700mb of net plan on this utterly stupid error of comedy. There are far better things to download on the internet.

P.S. Sajid Khan: Please quit making movies. We will pay you for doing that.
